The Kornhaus

There aren't very many Bauhaus buildings in Dessau and so, we have made a point of it to not go and find them or even to find out what and where they are, but instead, to let them find us. Last Tuesday we made such a discovery...

We chose to sit in the round section with the Bauhaus-style single glazed curtain wall.. brrr

Across Elballee (Elbe river road/ally) from the Kornhaus restaurant we found some more Walter Gropius  buildings..

*the green bins are for organic refuse and have ventilated lids, the black bins are for hausmüll, or house rubbish, and the blue bins are for paper
