C is for Dessau?
Enough alphabetting already!

After our brief stay in Berlin, we arrived by train at our new home in Dessau. Although Dessau is a city, it feels more like a town. Most people ride bikes rather than drive cars, quite a change from what we are used to back home. Also, the number of station-wagons is astounding. Pregnant cars everywhere!

A typical street in Dessau. Mostly there are 4 or 5 of the same houses in a row in any street in Dessau, painted half one colour, half another colour, as per the preferences of the two inhabiting families. Some houses also have half new roofs or are half covered in ivy...hmmm. Quite a contrast to the stark Bauhaus.
