We visited the abandoned site of our new project on Thursday last week: the Junkalor factories that have been vacant since 1996. Thirteen years of extreme weathering and vandalism have transformed a symbol of german efficiency and what remains of these characterful buildings seems undeniably temporary. Amongst the piles of building materials and pieces of now-junk hide shy and desperate characters that would leave if only they could move their cold, stiff legs. These are the chairs of Junkalor
